I have written a few stories and included some of my photography. I'll gladly share my pictures of these beautiful birds to help show everyone what we need to admire and protect!
I grew up in the West Park Cleveland area, and have never left. At a young age I was attracted to nature, a Metro Park hill was in my backyard. As a kid every free minute was spent playing in the woods.
My mother had a cowbell she would ring instead of screaming our names to come for dinner. In 1987 my friend Bob taught me how to use a camera.
Birding became such a strong passion! I would venture to say if you're reading this, you feel the same way. Don't you feel like you must be in nature at least every week? Doesn't birding completely take your mind off life's problems and you end up in a peaceful place?
About a year ago I sat in on a Audubon meeting at Rocky River Reservation. Very quickly I decided to join the group. Every meeting starts with the reunion of good people, my birding friends. The meetings are always educational and entertaining. I'm proud to be part of such an important organization.
