Presenter: Jamey Emmert, Avian Education Coordinator for ODNR Date & Time: Tuesday, November 5, 2024 at 7:00 p.m. Description: About ten years ago, the Ohio Department of Natural Resources (ODNR) launched the Lake Erie Birding Trail, accompanied by a guidebook and website designed to help both Ohio residents and visitors explore birding hot spots along the state’s northern coastline. Fast forward to the present with Jamey setting an ambitious goal by visiting all 88 designated locations across the trail’s seven routes which she completed in a few weeks’ time. Her mission, for the foreseeable future, is to completely revise the Ohio Lake Erie Birding Trail Guidebook and accompanying website, ensuring both resources are up-to-date and continue to serve as valuable elements for birders. Some surprise additions to the program are in store too!
