Late summer may feel a little quieter as the days soften and the evenings grow more comfortable, but there is still plenty of activity in the bug world. Fields will be bright with goldenrod and dotted with the purple of ironweed and asters, all buzzing with pollinators. We’ll look for skippers, butterflies, moths, calligrapher flies, and bumble bees, among others. Our guide, Judy Semroc, will also bring her Monarch tagging equipment, offering a chance to observe this process up close. Join us at a location in Cuyahoga County to explore the late‑season insect life and appreciate these tiny creatures. Location details will be provided upon registration. Terrain is a mowed path with one steep incline.

Date & Time: Sunday, September 6, 2026 at 1:00 p.m.

Location: A location in Cuyahoga County. Details will be provided upon registration.

Leaders: Judy Semroc

Note: This walk will be mostly in open sun. We recommend bringing water, a hat, sunscreen, and comfortable walking shoes or boots.

Registration: Registration is limited. $10 per ticket.

After you register, you’ll receive a standard store confirmation. A separate email with the meeting location and event details will follow within a few days.
