Imagine a park in the city where there has been a dump site for 30 years. That’s what’s coming this year on the near west side of Cleveland!
It’s called Brighton Park.
Western Cuyahoga Audubon Society (WCAS) is one of several organizations that are partnering with Western Reserve Land Conservancy to make it happen. WRLC is going to put the first shovel in the ground at West 25th St. and Henninger Rd. on April 1. This is adjacent to Burger King and at the top of Wildlife Ave. that leads down to the Cleveland Metroparks Zoo.
The park won’t be open to the public until July of this year. Stay tuned to the spring issue of “The Feathered Flyer” for more information!
