Ducks, mainly diving ducks, may need help with these cold temperatures so here's what to look for.
Birders today enjoyed a hazy, pleasant day with crows and jays mobbing a raptor or owl unseen by any of the humans on the ground in the trees above Porter Creek by Lake Erie Nature and Science Center.

The breeding season is in full swing now, with young American Robins and Red-winged Blackbirds everywhere, and fledglings of other species scattered about.
Western Cuyahoga Audubon Society joined with Kirtland Bird Club for birding on the Lake Erie shore. Scopes were essential for most sightings, but a group of Common Loons flew over the group at the start of the field trip.
