Recording of the January 2021 WCAS Member Meeting and Speaker, John Hannon, BirdLife International, US Representative reviews the current state of bird conservation across the globe and how the BirdLife Partnership, which includes Audubon, is working throughout the Americas to combine community development with conservation, protecting the habitats of birds, and bringing awareness of the need for healthy ecosystems.
With membership dues support, WCAS continues to provide monthly speaker programs, an up-to-date website with local and national conservation information and advocacy, field trips, fund-raising and friend-raising activities.
I recognized that I love to connect to people and get involved in a community. As a part of my life, I want to keep volunteering even if I am in a foreign country. Western Cuyahoga Audubon Society gave me a great chance to do that, and I appreciate the many people that surround me who are always encouraging me!
