Description: 38 birders ventured out on a chilly and overcast morning. At least the snow and rain held off. The birding was a little slow with only 17 species but we had good numbers of individuals. Thousands of Ring-billed Gulls were the most prevalent birds. The birds were a bit scarce at Merwin’s Wharf so the decision was made to head over to the Scranton Flats. It was probably a good choice, the vent fans from the restaurant were running and the smell of the bacon was very tempting. A few folks headed back for brunch afterwards. - Erik Bruder, Bird Walk Leader
