FLEDGLING BIRDING CHALLENGE
FRIDAY, NOVEMBER 27, 2020
Are you a new birder or have youngsters interested in watching birds? We endearingly call you “fledglings”, just leaving the nest to join the world of bird watching and we have a challenge for you!
With the Thanksgiving holiday, and spending time with family and friends, we hope you will consider going out to a park, neighborhood, greenspace or a place you enjoy to do some bird watching. The day after Thanksgiving is a perfect time to get out, no matter what the weather, and walk off some of that Thanksgiving meal (or whet your appetite for leftovers - yum)
Don’t have any young people at home, then take someone who might be housebound or just needs to get out. Scour the neighborhood or stop by a park, look for birds and enjoy some outdoor time.
Not many rules for this one, but there is a list of 20 birds we’d like you to find.
