Description: Will we see seven species of woodpecker on this walk? 'Tis the season. Downy, Hairy, Pileated and Red-bellied are year-round residents. Northern Flickers and Red-headed Woodpeckers are arriving for summer nesting. Yellow-bellied Sapsuckers are passing through in migration. The monthly Second Saturday walks are a great opportunity for birders of all skill levels to enjoy the woods and wetlands around the Cleveland Metroparks Rocky River Nature Center. New to birding?
