We started in the parking lot watching a Ruby-throated Hummingbird perched on a branch. The Scarlet Tanager was singing in the parking lot and a few lucky birders saw the bird as we started along the trail. We watched several Great Crested Flycatchers flying about.

Location: Trails around Rocky River Nature Center, Rocky River Reservation, Cleveland Metroparks, 24000 Valley Pkwy, North Olmsted, OH 44070 Map

Results: 25 Birders, 47 Species
Description: We had a large number of observers, 25 people. Some regulars and many new birders. We started in the parking lot watching a Ruby-throated Hummingbird perched on a branch. The Scarlet Tanager was singing in the parking lot and a few lucky birders saw the bird as we started along the trail. We watched several Great Crested Flycatchers flying about. A few of us did see the Red Headed Woodpecker. We ended up with 47 species. - Report by Bill Deininger.
