The March walk started off with a gorgeous pair of Red-shouldered Hawks soaring directly above, low enough to have a great view of all their distinct feathers. This was followed shortly after by a soaring immature Bald Eagle, again, directly above us. It was a good day for Raptors with Cooper's Hawks, Red-tailed Hawks and Turkey Vultures added to the list. ~ Bill Deininger

Description: It was a beautiful Saturday morning, sunny, breezy and 30 degrees. 15 observers attended, being careful about COVID 19. We tallied 34 species for the 2 hour and 45 minute walk. Not many migrants were spotted today. The Red-winged Blackbirds and Cowbirds were in several locations. We had good looks at the Eastern Bluebird. Highlight of the day were a pair of Barred Owls. We spooked one Owl and it flew to its mate in a pine tree. we were all able to get great looks at the pair of Owls. - Report by Bill Deininger.
