Nancy Howell, Treasurer, WCAS, welcomed everyone to the meeting and several attendees shared recent birding experiences.
Michelle Brosius, Director-at-Large and Field Trip Co-Coordinator provided updates about recent bird walks and field trip sightings in June. Michelle announced the WCAS Virtual Field Trips she is organizing and coordinating and how people can participate. Michelle also provided updates on the chapter's Social Distancing Birding Guidelines.
Gloria Ferris, Director-at-Large provided updates on Urban Birding activities and explained a little further about the effect of COVID-19 on progress and development.
Amanda Sebrosky, Director-at-Large provided updates on the Boy Scout Chimney Swift Tower project and benefits/problems with these projects, and the lack of progress due to COVID-19 restrictions.
Nancy Howell, Treasurer, reminded everyone it is Membership renewal time and that members will be receiving information via email or USPS mail very soon. Nancy also updated attendees about the WCAS Early Bird Membership Special to July 31st.
Nancy and Betsey O'Hagan, WCAS Web & Marketing, reviewed the www.wcaudubon.org home page navigational buttons and how they are easy shortcuts to the various blog stories, news, and virtual conference center. People were reminded to share WCAS content on social media in their efforts to advocate for birds and habitat conservation.
