Location: 7201 Canal Rd., Cuyahoga Hts., OH 44125 (use small parking lot by Canal Rd. look for Metroparks sign)

Description: Bald Eagles have been sighted recently in this area of the Ohio and Erie Canal Towpath. These and other birds are attracted to the outflow of relatively warm water from the NEORSD Southerly Wastewater Treatment Plant, where it empties into the Cuyahoga River.
We will meet at the Cleveland Metroparks Ohio and Erie Canal Reservation Towpath Trailhead Parking Area. This parking area is located on Canal Rd. same large driveway as for the Cuyahoga Heights Service Garage. Approximate address is 7201 Canal Rd. There are restrooms at nearby Bacci Park.
Directions: Via I-77 from north or east, use the Grant Ave. exit. Go west on Grant to East 49th St. Turn left (south) on East 49th St. Follow East 49th St. downhill, past the NEORSD Southerly Wastewater Treatment Plant. East 49th St. becomes Canal Rd. Watch for the entrance to the Towpath Trailhead parking on the left, by the driveway for the Cuyahoga Hts. Service Garage, address for driveway, 7201 Canal Rd.
From south or west, take Rockside Rd. to Canal Rd. Turn north on Canal Rd. Follow Canal Rd. to the Towpath Trailhead Parking Area, on the right after passing Warner Rd., address for driveway, 7201 Canal Rd.
