Special Event: Cleveland Metroparks Rocky River Reservation IBA Bird Walk
Day & Time: Saturday, November 2, 2019 from 8:30 a.m. - 12:00 p.m.
Location: Meet in the Frostville Museum parking lot at 8:30 a.m. Additional parking is available east of Frostville just past the small picnic area. Cleveland Metroparks, Olmsted Historical Society, Frostville Museum, 24101 Cedar Point Rd, North Olmsted, OH 44070 Map
Tickets: The public is welcome and free ticket registration is appreciated.
Leaders: Bill Deininger, Dave Graskemper and Guest, David Lindo
Targeted Species: Pileated Woodpeckers, Black-capped Chickadees, Tufted Titmice and White-breasted Nuthatches, and Winter-resident Fox Sparrows.
Description: The November 2018 walk was 24 degrees with a little wind. The sun popped out several times. It was a typical November walk with 20 species. What will we see on November 2, 2019? WCAS walks are a great opportunity for birders of all skill levels to enjoy the woods and wetlands around the Cleveland Metroparks Rocky River Nature Center. New to birding? You will be amazed how much you can learn in this friendly group.
