#1 Citizen Science Opportunity: Christmas Bird Count-Lakewood Circle 2017
Bird Count Date & Time: Saturday, December 30, 2017, All Day
Place: Lakewood, Ohio vicinity, and Rocky River Reservation trails, 24000 Valley Pkwy, North Olmsted, OH 44070 Map
Targeted Species: Winter Residents

Registration Deadline: Contact Nancy Howell, compiler, by Monday, December 25, 2017 if you wish to participate.
Description of Volunteer Duties: We are looking for volunteers who are interested in citizen science! Volunteers will walk the designated birding site routes, help out with bird identification (birding pros and beginners are welcome), identify and help tally bird species, and of course, have fun! Dress for the weather - you'll be walking outside.

Location: Rocky River Nature Center, 24000 Valley Pkwy, North Olmsted, OH 44070 Map
Volunteers are asked to arrive at the Rocky River Nature Center at 5:30 pm
Description of Volunteer Duties: Volunteers are needed for set up and tear down of the dining room and buffet tables; help set up and tear down the organization exhibit display; organize and promote educational handout materials; meet and greet evening participants; assist as needed with the large group Bird Count tally.
